Sergio Ramos has revealed his surprise at Cristiano Ronaldo declaring his desire to leave Real Madrid after the Champions League final.
Ronaldo hinted that he could be on his way out of the La Liga giants after he and his Madrid team-mates won their third consecutive Champions League title in May.
Speaking following the final whistle in Ukraine, Ronaldo said: ‘In the coming days there will be answer about my future. It has been very nice playing for Real Madrid.

‘In the next few days I will give an answer. Now we have to enjoy the moment. The future of any player is not important. We have made history.’
Ronaldo did end up leaving Madrid for Serie A champions Juventus for £100million in July.
Ramos, who won the award for best defender in the Champions League last season on Thursday, recalled the huge bombshell dropped by former team-mate Ronaldo.

‘We found out practically when the microphones were being set up and we were surprised,’ Ramos said.
‘He [Ronaldo] does what he wants.’
Real Madrid were drawn in Group G alongside Roma, CSKA Moscow and Viktoria Plzen in the Champions League draw on Thursday.
