Late rapper Juice Wrld celebrated his 21st birthday just a week ago in Sydney – as his tragic last Instagram post in front of the Harbour Bridge is flooded with thousands of tributes

Late rapper Juice Wrld had celebrated his 21st birthday in Sydney last week, just days before he died following a reported seizure in Chicago on Sunday morning, local time.

The American hip hop artist’s last Instagram post was a picture of him smoking on a yacht in front of the Sydney Harbour Bridge with friends on December 4.

‘Yesterday was my actual bday i’m celebrating all week doe,’ wrote Juice Wrld (real name Jarad Anthony Higgins) after wrapping up his three-date Australian tour.

The Instagram post has since been flooded with more than 410,000 tributes from friends, fans and fellow musicians. 

On December 1, Juice Wrld shared another post of himself partying in a hotel room in Melbourne after performing the final show of his Australian tour at Festival Hall. 

‘Thank God for the opportunity to travel the world and change it. Be with me through every battle and [I know] I’ll win… AMEN. Great things coming y’all,’ he wrote in the caption.

Juice Wrld died at age 21 after suffering a reported seizure at Chicago Midway International Airport on Sunday morning. 

The up-and-coming star was bleeding from the mouth when medics arrived, according to TMZ. 

He is understood to have been conscious before being rushed to hospital, where he was declared dead. A cause of death is not yet known.

Juice Wrld is said to have fallen ill after flying into Chicago from California early on Sunday morning.

He was walking through the airport when he suffered the seizure, sources tell TMZ. 

On December 3, he tweeted his girlfriend, Ally Lotti, to say: ‘It’s us forever bb girl.’ 

He had earlier said he’d had ‘one of the best birthdays ever’.

Ally last tweeted on December 6, writing: ‘You r enough’ and ‘where is your mind’.

Juice Wrld had enjoyed hits with Lucid Dreams in 2018 and All Girls Are the Same. 

In his song Legends, he rapped: ‘What’s the 27 Club? We ain’t making it past 21. I been going through paranoia.’ 

‘The 27 Club’ is a term referring to popular musicians, including Jim Morrison, Jimi Hendrix and Kurt Cobain, who famously died at that age.  

His Juice Wrld stage name was said to have been inspired by the 1992 film, Juice, starring Tupac Shakur.
