Rashida Jones gets hug and kiss from dad Quincy Jones at LA premiere of documentary about his life

Rashida Jones and her father Quincy embraced on Friday at the Los Angeles premiere of a documentary she helped create about the music mogul.

The 42-year-old actress graced the event in a long-sleeved, knee-length black dress.

The Angie Tribeca star finished her outfit with black open-toed collar heels and accessorized with hoop earrings.

Quincy, 85, kissed his daughter on the cheek and hugged her at the premiere held at Linwood Dunn Theater.

He looked dapper in a long red coat over a black and black trousers with a long tie scarf.

Quincy had a special screening on Sunday at the Toronto International Film Festival.

Rashida is a co-producer, co-director and writer of the documentary titled Quincy.

She co-directed the documentary with Alan Hicks who joined her at the Los Angeles premiere.

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, 71, who is a known jazz aficionado also attended the screening.

Netflix chief content officer Ted Sarandos, 54, also teamed up with Rashida and Alan at the premiere.

Quincy is scheduled to be released on September 21 on Netflix.

The music legend has won 27 Grammys to date and has produced albums for late musical icons such as Ray Charles, Michael Jackson, Frank Sinatra, and Aretha Franklin.

Quincy also will have a limited theatrical run in New York and Los Angeles.
