This could be the worst dining experience for anyone. 

A customer at a restaurant in China had a rat crawling up his trouser leg while enjoying delicious hotpot with friends. The rodent then hid in the man’s trouser leg and wouldn’t come out.

After failing to remove the furry animal, the shocked diner had to squeeze the rat to death with his bare hands before pulling it out of his clothing.

According to Pear Video, the unfortunate incident happened at a hotpot restaurant in the Beibei district of Chongqing, southwestern China, on September 21.

The man, who put up his leg on a chair, told other diners to call the restaurant manager.

‘Kill it, kill it,’ said the female manager as she told the other diners not to take videos and pictures of the chaos.

The man screamed as he tried to pull the rat out after strangling it with his bare hands.

The lifeless rodent shocked dozens of customers.

The diner claimed that the rat had bitten him as he showed a red mark on his leg.

The video uploaded onto Chinese social media sites today has had over 1.38 million views.

‘Setra’ joked and said: ‘Drop your pants and release the cat.’

‘DayuBulu’ commented: ‘This is the reason why I like to wear skinny jeans.’

Other web users suggested the man make a formal complaint to the restaurant.

‘Can you imagine how many germs the rat has? Complain the restaurant,’ wrote ‘huang_ou’.
