Real Housewives of Melbourne star Gina Liano announces surprising career move – after quitting ‘soul destroying’ reality TV show
Real Housewives of Melbourne star Gina Liano is set to expand her career by hosting her own tongue-in-cheek podcast called Judge Gina.
The barrister-turned-reality star, 57, discussed the surprising news on The Project on Friday, revealing she will make rulings on a range of hilarious celebrity disputes.
‘The podcast is perfect because I am blending my practice into entertainment, which I love,’ she told the hosts.
Co-host Georgie Tunny, 32, then asked Gina if she could help resolve a matter she was having with fellow presenter Hamish Macdonald, 42.
‘Every day of my career I have asked Hamish to be my best friend and he has not given me an answer. You may need to adjudicate,’ Georgie said.

Gina then asked Hamish for his side of the story and he told the panel that while he think Georgie is great, he ‘sometimes feel she talks too much’.
‘There you go. You just need to talk less and he’ll be your friend,’ Gina told Georgie.
The first season of Judge Gina will see her resolving disputes between The Bachelor host Osher Günsberg and contestant Matty Johnson and several Married At First Sight stars.

The first episode of the podcast is now available to listen on iHeartRadio.
Gina quit the Real Housewives of Melbourne after its fourth season in 2018, and is happy to leave the controversial franchise firmly in the past.
Speaking to Stellar magazine earlier this month, the Gina admitted that dealing with constant cat-fights on the show took a toll on her mental health.
‘The podcast is perfect because I am blending my practice into entertainment, which I love,’ Gina told the hosts
‘It all got too much. It’s very soul destroying. I’ve had a lot of conversations with Lydia [Schiavello] about feeling quite traumatised at the end of it all because you’re constantly in trouble. You’re in constant conflict,’ Gina explained.
Gina, a fan-favourite among viewers, left fans disappointed when she decided not to return to the show for season five.
However, she told the Shine It Up podcast in October 2022 that she may come back for season six, but it would only be under one condition.
‘Put it this way, if the show needed saving, I would feel like, ‘Oh, God, I’ve gotta go in and fix this.’ I’m a fixer,’ she said.
