Real Housewives Of New Jersey: Teresa Guidice reveals pizza caused rift between brother and fiance

Teresa Guidice revealed that a pizza business deal gone wrong was the reason behind the rift between her brother Joe Gorga and fiancé Luis ‘Louie’ Ruelas on Tuesday’s episode of RHONJ.

The 50-year-old reality star was asked by a producer of the Bravo show what started the bad blood between Louie, 47, and her younger brother Joe, 43.

‘I’ve kept my mouth shut, like, a lot all these years protecting my brother to keep the peace. And I’m, like, so tired of it. I’m gonna speak the truth,’ Teresa told the camera.

She was then showing answering essentially the same question during a group conversation with Louie, Jennifer Aydin, her husband Bill. and show newcomer Danielle Cabral and her husband Nate.

‘I’ll be honest with you. There was a business dealing and my fiancé lost a quarter of a million dollars,’ said Teresa, who previously was involved in a pizza restaurant with Joe that closed in 2018.

In a confessional, Teresa explained that Joe came up with the idea of a family-run pizza oven, so Louie, 47, put up $250,000 to make it happen and offered Joe five percent of the business.

‘So my brother went nuts,’ Teresa said. ‘He wanted 50 percent.’

Teresa said she told Joe that if he wanted half ‘you need to put half in’ and he didn’t want to.

‘And then Louie took the loss,’ Teresa said.

Joe, however, said it was Louie who screwed him with the pizza business.

‘I told him it’s my idea, it’s me and my sister,’ Joe said in a confessional. ‘We’ll honor my father. We’ll call it Nonno’s Pizza. He loved it. My nephew, got him involved. We ordered these ovens. Louie puts the money out. ‘I’m figuring I’m giving 50 percent to my sister, and he was getting 50 percent.’

Joe said he later learned that Teresa had a photo shoot with the pizza boxes she ordered calling it Skinny Pizza. He accused Louie of ‘giving him lip’ and said Teresa then called him and reminded him that hadn’t put any of the money up.

‘It was my f***ing idea,’ Joe said.

‘I think she’s so selfish that she doesn’t want to share, that’s what it comes down to,’ Melissa Gorga, 44, said.

‘It became very ugly,’ Joe said in a confessional.

Melissa started to cry and said she felt bad for Joe.

‘It was very sad,’ Melissa said in a confessional.

The season 13 episode titled Pizza Gate opened the morning after Melissa’s house party with Jackie Goldschneider, 46, Rachel Fuda, 31, and Dolores Cantina, 52, still wondering why Danielle, 37, didn’t talk to her brother.

‘She is all the things I look for in a friend but it feels like there is a link in the chain missing,’ Rachel said.

Danielle was also not happy about what went down.

‘Rachel was a little s*** starter,’ Danielle said.

Getting emotional: Melissa started to cry and said she felt bad for Joe

In a confessional, Danielle said she originally saw Rachel as a new friend, but was questioning their relationship status.

Danielle said that Margaret Josephs was now mad at her for what Rachel told her.

Melissa was also upset hearing that Teresa made comments about her mother Donna not deserving to come to her wedding.

‘How dare you,’ Melissa said in a confessional.

Rachel held a brunch party at her shore house.

Dolores, Jackie, Margaret Josephs, 55, and Jennifer Fessler, 52, spoke to Melissa at the brunch about Teresa talking about not inviting her mother Donna to the wedding. Melissa said she didn’t understand why Teresa didn’t just do the right thing.

Danielle told Margaret that she thought the two of them should talk. 

Danielle told Margaret that she was irritated and upset because it seemed that Rachel was creating a divide between them. Danielle then called Rachel over.

‘Why does it seem that the conversation we had was me attacking Margaret,’ Danielle said.

‘You weren’t attacking her,’ Rachel said. ‘You were saying that she has an arsenal of information.’

‘Yeah, but that’s kind of throwing me under the bus to try to start s*** up with her,’ Danielle said.

‘I’m not going to have someone seeding bulls*** all over the place,’ ‘That’s f***ing high school. F***ing graduate.’

Rachel asked Danielle if they were good.

‘What the f***,’ Danielle said in a confessional. ‘I am seeing a different side of Rachel, a person that I didn’t even know existed.’

Teresa heard that Melissa was upset and asked Louie if he could handle it.

Danielle then walked over angry.

Information arsenal: ‘You weren’t attacking her,’ Rachel said. ‘You were saying that she has an arsenal of information’

‘I was really mad that you all were all talking s*** about my brother last night,’ Danielle said.

Danielle said explaining to them that her brother had been making fun of her as the reason she blocked him on Instagram should have been enough of an explanation for them.

‘If that’s what actually happened that’s cuckoo,’ Jennifer said.

Danielle stormed off and said she was ‘done.’

Teresa tried to talk to Melissa to find out why she was so upset. Joe saw they were talking and sat down. Louie told them that he would love it if Melissa’s mother would come to the wedding. Louie said he understood that they were both hurt.

‘Just understand that she’s hurt too and I’m marrying her in 31 days,’ Louie said. ‘I want peace.’

‘My brother needs to get therapy because he keeps blaming me for everything,’ Teresa said to Margaret. ‘She has daddy issues. She needs to go get help.’

Jackie said that wasn’t nice to say and then Teresa blew up at her.

‘Jackie shut the f*** up,’ Teresa said. ‘Get out of my f***ing face.’

‘Don’t you think that’s a mean thing to say to someone who lost their dad in a car accident at 16,’ Jackie said.

Teresa walked over and told Joe she would have invited Donna if he asked her. Joe reminded her that she shut Melissa out from being a bridesmaid.

‘I’m so mad at you,’ Joe said.

Teresa said she was also upset and felt that Joe and Melissa should have had her back more. Teresa told Melissa that she didn’t ask her to be in the wedding because she didn’t defend Louie when Margaret brought up things about him. Melissa pointed out that Teresa didn’t defend Joe when Jennifer attacked him. Teresa got mad and stormed off.

‘Fix it!,’ Teresa yelled to Louie as she left.

‘It’s your brother,’ Melissa yelled. ‘It’s a shame you don’t want to fix it.’

Teresa came back and told Joe that he wasn’t happy. Louie reminded Joe that Teresa called him a ‘b**** boy’ at the reunion.

Good point: Melissa pointed out that Teresa didn’t defend Joe when Jennifer attacked him

‘Aww shut up, I met you in months, and you f***ed me,’ Joe said.

‘Come on, man,’ Louie said.

‘Shut the f*** up,’ Joe said.

Joe and Melissa got up and walked out of the party.

‘I’m not going to put you in my wedding if you are f***ing trashing me,’ Teresa said.

Margaret and Rachel sat down and joined Teresa and Louie. Teresa started to say that Melissa should have stood up for her last year. Louie reached his breaking point.

‘I can’t take this s*** no more,’ Louie said. ‘You have to listen to her. Because you’re still talking.’

‘You and your brother have the same exact problem,’ Louie said.

Same problem: ‘You and your brother have the same exact problem,’ Louie told Teresa

Joe walked back in the party and asked Louie to move his car so they could leave, but when he saw they were sitting with Margaret he flipped out.

‘What are you sitting with Margaret for,’ Joe said. ‘Why? She’s so dirty.’

‘Wait, did Margaret cause our whole family problem? Joe said.

Joe grabbed Louie but he told him to get off him or he would punch him in the face.

‘Joe, stop please,’ Louie said. ‘Don’t be f***ing smart. Stop because I’ve got nothing to f***ing lose. Do you understand me?’

‘It wasn’t me,’ Margaret said to Teresa.

‘If Melissa was a good woman she would make it better with my brother and I,’ Teresa said.

Louie told Melissa and Joe that he didn’t want the rift to continue.

‘I love you guys and I want you as part of our lives,’ Louie said.
