It’s over! Real Housewives of Sydney star Matty Samaei has ‘quietly split’ from her fiancé Michael Stathakis after five-year relationship

She was known for her fiery relationship with her fiance on the short-lived Real Housewives of Sydney.

But it’s been reported that Matty Samaei, 44, has ‘quietly split’ from her fiance Michael Sathakis.

According to The Sun Herald, the couple, who had been together for five years, split back in January and ‘are no longer living together at their Bellevue Hill home’.

According to a source close to the couple, things had turned ‘pear shaped’ yet were allegedly working towards reconciling.

Fans of RHOM may remember Michael from his brief appearance on the show, in which he was seen bickering with Matty about whether or not they should adopt a dog.

Matty is the mother of two girls, aged ten and 12, who she shares with her previous husband.

Talking The Daily Telegraph in 2016, the Persian stunner said she felt lucky she had found her ‘soulmate’ after her first marriage ended.

‘I didn’t expect to find love after my husband and I divorced in 2010 but it shows if you’re open, anything can happen,’ she said at the time.

‘We love each other deeply.’

Back in 2017, Matty even revealed to OK! Magazine that she was thinking about having kids again with Michael, saying despite her age, she hadn’t ruled out the option.

‘I could probably have more, I haven’t ruled that thought out, but I also have to think about my age,’ she said at the time.

‘These days we have the option and having children is the most amazing thing.’

Matty also discussed the possibility of getting married on the now defunct reality TV show, saying she wanted her wedding to be ‘gold with lots of bling!’.

While Matty may be going through tough times behind the scenes, her recent social media posts tell a very different story.

Just last week, an excited Matty documented herself jubilantly getting lip injections on Instagram at her beauty clinic Medispa by Matty in Sydney’s Double Bay.

In the clip, the former reality star is first seen relaxing as a beautician, who is not visible on camera, outlines where she will be injecting the filler.

‘Anyone that thinks that I don’t need my lips done, you can protest and say, ‘Matty, don’t do your lips’ and I won’t listen,’ giggled the star.

Daily Mail Australia has reached out to Matty for comment.
