Reality TV star shares adorable childhood photo and says his resemblance to Leonardo DiCaprio is ‘uncanny’ – but do you know who it is?


He’s the reality star who found love on The Bachelor. 

And on Tuesday, the hunk shared a photo of himself as a 12-year-old in an Instagram Stories post. 

He noted his ‘uncanny resemblance’ to a young Leonardo DiCaprio in the image, and admitted he had tried to emulate the actor’s haircut.

The pre-teen in the image is none other than Matthew ‘Matty J’ Johnson, 34. 

He rose to fame on The Bachelorette in 2016, and was left heartbroken when Georgia Love picked Lee Elliott over him at the grand finale. 

Matty was back the next year to look for love as The Bachelor in 2017, and he had far more luck.

He met and fell for Laura Byrne, and they now have two children, Marlie-Mae, one, and Lola, nine months.

They welcomed Marlie-Mae in June 2020, and Lola followed in February 2021. 

The pair became engaged in April 2019 but have not yet announced a wedding date.

Laura recently had an epic meltdown after losing her engagement ring. 

The 35-year-old shared a video of herself breaking down in tears after misplacing the ring.

‘So I’ve just spend the last two hours bawling my eyes out because I thought I’d lost my engagement ring,’ she in the Instagram clip.

Laura then revealed she had finally found the ring after two hours of searching.
