And Jamie and Rebekah Vardy counted themselves counted themselves among those elated at the chance of indulging in the hugely popular fast food, as they were spotted making their way to a drive-thru in Leicester on Saturday.
Leicester FC striker Jamie, 33, and his 38-year-old wife looked relaxed and happy as they patiently joined the lengthy vehicular line for their cheap and cheerful meal, after driving up in a sleek black Bentley Bentayga, worth an eye-watering £130,000.

On Saturday, it was announced that 500 more McDonald’s restaurants will be reopened in the next week, following on from three days of eateries being reopened this week. They had previously all been closed amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
