Rebel Wilson and Magda Szubanski lead the arrivals at the AO Inspirational Series Lunch

They’re two of Australia’s funniest ladies, and on Thursday, Rebel Wilson and Magda Szubanski teamed up for the AO Inspirational Series Lunch at the Australian Open in Melbourne.

Rebel, 39, and Magda, 58, happily posed for photos together ahead of the event, with the two women caught sharing a laugh in a candid moment.

The annual luncheon attracted a star-studded crowd, with Elyse Knowles, Liz Ellis and Cathy Freeman also making it onto the guest list.

Rebel delivered the keynote address at this year’s luncheon, following in the footsteps of US Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, 70, who held the honour last year.

‘I’m really looking forward to coming to the Australian Open,’ Rebel told the Herald Sun last week. 

‘I love tennis – watching it, playing it – when I was last at Melbourne Park actually I played a mixed-doubles with Lleyton Hewitt and Todd Woodbridge which WENT OFF!

The 46-year-old former sprinter also wore a black T-shirt under a white blazer, and completed her ensemble with a pair of black patent leather brogues.
