Rebel Wilson looks thinner than ever in a little black dress at the AACTA Awards in Sydney

She’s famously shed 35kg (77lbs or 5.5 stone) over the past 18 months. 

And Rebel Wilson’s radical weight loss was on full display when the 41-year-old hit the red carpet of the 2021 AACTA Awards in Sydney on Wednesday.

The Bridesmaids star cloaked her newly svelte figure in a little black dress for the star-studded evening.

The Sydney-born star paired the long-sleeved garment with a simple pair of black heels. 

Wilson wore her wavy blonde tresses loose and flowing for her red carpet turn. 

At one point the A-lister was warmly embraced by The Great Gatsby director Baz Luhrmann.

Rebel arrived at the Opera House in style, hitching a ride on a golf cart with The Bachelor star and good pal Brittany Hockley. 

It’s not the first time this week Wilson has been given special treatment in Australia.

Upon her arrival in Australia from the US on Monday, the Fat Pizza actress was granted permission by the New South Wales Government to skip mandatory 72-hour quarantine.

Unlike the vast majority of international travellers, Rebel was able to visit a public park at 5pm on Monday – just hours after touching down in Sydney at 8.30am.

The star was pictured at the park spending time with family and friends including her sister Annachi.

The manager was unable to provide the reason for why Rebel was granted the exemption, but did confirm the star ‘has been doing multiple PCR [nose and throat swab] tests’ since her arrival in Sydney.

The actress was pictured reuniting with her sister Annachi at Sydney International Airport moments after disembarking her long-haul flight.
