Rebel Wilson rocks a royal blue dress at the premiere of her film The Almond and the Seahorse

Rebel Wilson ventured across the pond to Switzerland for the premiere of her new film The Almond and the Seahorse.

The 42-year-old actress hit the red carpet at the Zurich Film Festival for the world premiere of her new film, which is slated to hit theaters December 16.

She posed on the red carpet with co-stars Charlotte Gainsbourg and Trine Dyrholm and director-co-star Celyn Jones.

The blonde actress stepped out wearing a knee-length royal blue dress that fell to her knees.

She completed her look with a pair of black pumps as she walked the red carpet on Monday. 

The premiere screening was held at Kino Corso in Zurich, marking the film’s global premiere ahead of its theatrical release in December.

The Almond and the Seahorse adaptation was first announced in October 2020, based on the stage play of the same name by Kaite O’Reilly.

The story follows, ‘an archaeologist and an architect fight to re-imagine a future after traumatic brain injury leaves them adrift from the people they love.’

Celyn Jones and Tom Stern direct from a script Jones wrote with O’Reilly, with Jones also reprising his role from the play, Joe.

Wilson has impressed fans with her 35kg (77 pounds) weight loss since embarking on a ‘year of health’ in 2020, though sources claimed she wasn’t interested in losing more weight quite yet.

‘Rebel is not working with a trainer day-to-day anymore to lose more weight as she has reached her goal,’ an insider told US Weekly.

‘Rather, she is focused on maintaining the weight she has lost and feeling comfortable in her skin. She is a really positive person and feels really good about how far she has come,’ the source added.

She also starred in the new Netflix film Senior Year, which debuted on the streaming service on May 13.

Wilson is also slated to star in the new film K-Pop: Lost in America, alongside Charles Melton.

The story follows a beloved K-Pop group about to make their American debut at Madison Square Garden in New York City… though they find themselves stranded in Waco, Texas.
