Reece Walsh is looking to make a statement in the NRL grand final, but, judging by reaction to his pre-match attire, he has already accomplished that goal.
Walsh has enjoyed a sensational debut season with the Broncos, leading Brisbane to the biggest match in footy with Kevin Walters’ side aiming to dethrone Penrith in Sydney tonight.
The Maroons star has emerged as one of footy’s top players and on Sunday night he proved that he has the fashion sense to match, rocking up to Accor Stadium in style.
The young fullback was spotted wearing a huge pair of sunglasses, understandable given the blazing hot weather in Sydney, but he didn’t even take them off when he went into the changing rooms.

Walsh’s choice of attire sent footy fans into a spin, with some in favour of his bold fashion statement, while others weren’t too impressed.
‘The hot sun must be affecting Broncos star Reece Walsh’s vision in the change room,’ one fan posted on Twitter, now known as X.
‘Reece Walsh looks like he is about to hit the slopes,’ another fan said.

A third fan posted: ‘Reece Walsh wearing Pit Vipers sunnies into the changeroom. Not sure if I’m annoyed or impressed.’
‘I think Reece Walsh’s glasses are awesome,’ another fan said. ‘People need to leave him alone and let him enjoy the ride he is on.’
But one fan was not convinced by Walsh’s fashion sense: ‘Reece Walsh googled how to make himself look like a huge tool and then showed up with those sunnies’.
