We tend to make up our mind about someone within seconds of meeting them, and a large part of that is due to their appearance and dress sense.
This doesn’t change when it comes to dating and your clothes can often say something about you before you’ve even opened your mouth.
To understand how fashion influences the way we date, Zoosk surveyed 6,646 of its members and analysed 34,579 profiles.

The younger generation care the least about fashion out of everyone, with 77 per cent of both male and female millennials said they can look past someone with bad style.
This being said, 69 per cent of singles say that the best way to make a good first impression is to look nice and presentable.

When it comes to the first date, 94 per cent of women said that dressing nicely is essential, and 86 per cent of singles say it’s important to dress nice when it comes to getting ready for a date.
