Return of the budgie smugglers! Mike Tindall dons TINY trunks inspired by I’m a Celeb

Along with his royal anecdotes and cheeky sense of humour, Mike Tindall’s collection of budgie smugglers won him a legion of fans during his I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here jungle last year.

The father-of-three, 44, often left little to the imagination with around the camp – prompting other contestants to question if Mike had stolen his wife Zara’s bikini bottoms.

This week, the former rugby star found an excuse to debut a very special pair when he jetted out to Ibiza to watch his podcast co-host James Haskell perform a DJ set.

Mike and James, 38, were joined by sports presenter Alex Payne, 42, who co-hosts The Good, the Bad and the Rugby with them.

During their flying visit, the trio posed for a group photo – which James, who is married to Chloe Madeley, posted on Instagram.

The picture – which appears to have been taken in a changing room – shows both Mike and James wearing nothing but a pair of budgie smugglers.

While James opted for a neon pink-and-yellow pair, Mike was dressed in a personalised design.

The tiny pair of swimming shorts had a green jungle-themed background and featured Mike’s promotional shot taken right before he entered the reality series last November.

Meanwhile, their co-star Alex remained fully dressed in a suit jacket and white linen trousers as he stood in the middle of the two former players.

James captioned the photo: ‘Another day, another The Good, The Bad, and the Rugby afternoon of fun in Ibiza.’

The post racked up over 9,900 ‘likes’ in the first 12 hours and left James’ 544,000 followers in hysterics.

‘Alex smile is so uncomfortable,’ Chloe commented. ‘Tinds’ skin coloured face placed there is more uncomfortable.’

Another joked: ‘Magic Mike the Poundland version!’

James shared the hilarious photo with his 544,000 Instagram this afternoon. Amused followers joked that the hosts were 'Poundland Magic Mikes'

Commenting on how out of place Alex looked, a third said: ‘When you didn’t get the dress code memo…’

Last November, Mike finished in third place of the hit reality series and was greeted by Zara Tindall moments after leaving the camp.

Off the back of his success, the father-of-three even launched his very own range of Budgie Smugglers – with some of the proceeds being donated to the Cure Parkinson’s charity.

Two pairs of the trunks were available, with one of the scenic backdrop of the blue skies and the I’m A Celeb jungle, and another of a leafy green pattern.

On both pairs, the front has ‘Vanilla Mike’ emblazoned across it.

The back of the blue pair reads ‘These are not my wife’s….’ while the other says ‘Nibble my nuts’.

They were sold for £35 per pair and profits went directly to Cure Parkinson’s to help power their research in finding a cure for the disease.

Mike caused quite the stir when he squeezed his muscular frame into a pair of bright tropical trunks for a dip in the camp creek, leaving little to the imagination –

Winner of the series Lioness Jill Scott later told the Bush Telegraph even the ‘freezing’ water, couldn’t stop the Royal from donning his snazzy speedos.

She said: ‘It’s freezing in there [the creek] but nothing stops Mike from turning up in his little budgie smugglers’.

He’s got a few different pairs from what I can see and he’s getting more confident, showing them off daily’.

Mike was accused of wearing his wife Zara’s bikini bottoms by cheeky hosts Ant & Dec.

After the Rugby star again took a dip in the creek, the camera cut to the co-hosts with Ant teasing: ‘I tell you what did come as a shock, what about that swimwear?

‘I want to know what Zara was thinking of that… “That’s where my bikini bottoms went!”.
