Leaked security footage has revealed what young McDonald’s employees get up to when customers are out of sight.
The video titled ‘what it’s like working at Maccas’ was posted by an Australian TikTok user earlier this month.
It showed a compilation of scenes from CCTV cameras featuring restaurant employees making a series of embarrassing blunders.
One clip showed a male in a McDonald’s uniform falling into a cool room and dropping a tray of food.

Another scene showed a worker running at his colleague in the kitchen, frightening him until he fell over (pictured)
Another showed a young male employee enthusiastically kicking an empty box, before slipping and landing on the tiles.
A third scene showed a worker running at his colleague in the kitchen which spooked his co-worker and causing him to fall over.
Additional footage showed a male worker sneaking up on two female employees while they ate lunch.
It was followed by a clip of the same male dropping a cloth in the kitchen and hitting his head on an oven door after retrieving it.
McDonald’s employees flocked to the comments section on the TikTok video to share their experiences.

‘I’ve done literally every one of these. I work at Maccas too,’ one woman wrote.
‘If you haven’t hit your head on the chick/fish fridge have you ever really worked there,’ another shared.
‘Friend of mine deep fried her hand while working at maccas,’ someone else wrote.
Others shared examples of when they messed up on the job.

‘I accidentally gave away a bag full of ketchup to a customer,’ one employee admitted.
‘Lol I hit my head on the sink at work today, also smacked into someone’s elbow. Bruised the shit out of my knee on the cafe fridge,’ another said.
‘Kicking the frick out of boxes is what makes working at Maccas tolerable,’ one man joked.
The video has received almost 100,000 likes and hundreds of comments.
A McDonald’s Australia spokeswoman told Daily Mail Australia the footage is not representative of its employees.
‘We have comprehensive protocols in place to ensure the safety of our employees,’ she said.
‘This footage does not reflect the behaviour we expect from our employees while working in our restaurants, and we are investigating accordingly.’
