Reveller downs shot glass full of SALT thinking it is tequila despite friend’s efforts to stop her

A woman was caught on camera mistakenly drinking a glass full of salt thinking that it was tequila.

Holly Mclean was filmed in the Jacaranda nightclub in Liverpool earlier this month. 

In the video, Holly is sitting at the bar wearing a pale green outfit alongside two friends. 

She raises a shot of what she thinks is tequila into the air to clink glasses.

Her friend sitting across the table, who is wearing a black sequined dress, tries to warn her by repeatedly shouting ‘that’s salt, that’s salt’.

But Holly obliviously continues to down the whole glass in one as her concerned friend looks on.

In a matter of seconds she then spits it back out over the bar before coughing and spluttering in an attempt to get the remainder out of her mouth.

She grabs on to her other friend for support and the video ends shortly after.     

Daria Tomaszewska, who was working behind the bar at the time, said: ‘I couldn’t quite believe it had happened.

In a matter of seconds she then spits it back out over the bar before coughing and spluttering in an attempt to get the remainder out of her mouth

‘I passed her a glass of orange juice to help with the taste, but when I realised she was okay, I thought it was pretty funny and told the other bartenders about it.

‘She seemed pretty unfazed by the incident, her friends just carried on with their drinks and eating fruit while she drank the orange juice and just laughed along about it.

‘They seemed like nice girls who took the whole thing in good humour.’
