Shocking footage shows the moment a violent brawl breaks out between two groups at a London rooftop bar as the DJ takes cover behind his decks.

The incident, which saw revellers battle it out six floors above the central London streets, took place at Madison roof top bar in the financial district of St Paul’s last night.

A video filmed from the restaurant level of the venue shows a number of men throwing punches and brandishing bottles while security guards attempt to intervene. 

Eight were arrested and a number of people were injured following the fight in which several punches were landed and chairs, tables, and flower pots appear to have been thrown.

The incident took place just eight days after the easing of lockdown as what appeared to be pent up frustrations aired in public. 

City of London Police said in a statement: ‘Our officers were called to a large & violent fight at the Madison rooftop bar in the City last night, in which a number of people were injured.

Onlookers captured a video of the fight from behind the safety of a perspex screen.
