Revolutionary product Vital Toothpaste Tabs uses a tablet to clean your teeth

Would you brush your teeth with a TABLET? New chewable ‘spheres’ whiten your smile without the need for regular toothpaste

  • Vital+ is a revolutionary teeth cleaning product that uses a chewable tablet
  • Customers simply chew on the tab for a few seconds before brushing as normal
  • Brand is on a mission to rid Australian households of plastic toothpaste tubes
  • Since starting the business in October 2020 the brand has sold 5,000 units

A revolutionary teeth cleaning product uses a tiny chewable tablet to freshen breath and whiten your smile without the need for any toothpaste, preventing millions of plastic containers from entering landfill each year.

Vital+ packages its unique ‘toothpaste tabs’ into glass bottles sealed with aluminum lids – foregoing the need to throw out a plastic container after you finish – and leaves parabens and sulfates out of its all-natural ingredient list.

While the tablets might take a minute to get used to, once you start chewing on the charcoal mint, berry and fresh mint flavoured capsules it’s easy to see why they’re growing in popularity.

Emilee Hembrow – and her children – are big fans of the brand Vital+

‘Conceptually the idea intrigued me. The reality could have been very disappointing. However it’s been enjoyable because it just works. The choice of products, the glass jars for reuse, the refills that are available… all in all a well thought out business that delivers on all levels,’ one happy customer wrote on Vital+’s website.

‘Really easy to use. Doesn’t foam up as much as traditional toothpaste which I liked. The flavour was really subtle. Best of all, my teeth felt so clean and looked so shiny,’ said another.

A third added: ‘Such a great alternative to regular toothpaste. I love them’.

To activate the dissolvable tablets, the user simply has to pop one in their mouth, chew for a few seconds and then begin to brush their teeth as usual.

While they are safe to swallow it’s recommended that the tooth brusher spit out the remaining product before washing their mouth out with water.

‘Since our product is a small chewable tablet we do not recommend it for children under the age of three as it is a choking hazard,’ the website read.

‘For children under three, please crush the toothpaste tablets into powder and dip wet toothbrush bristles into the powder, then brush.’

Nano-Hydroxyapatite, a non-toxic alternative to fluoride, erythritol, which helps prevent bacteria build up in the mouth, and calcium carbonate – an abrasive chemical to help polish and whiten the teeth – are all listed as key ingredients in the tabs.
