Reward of $1MILLION is offered to help solve the brutal cold case murder of a business owner who died mysteriously more than 20 years ago

A $1 million reward is to be offered to help solve the brutal murder of western Sydney business owner Hasan Dastan more than two decades ago.

Dastan’s severely beaten body was found in the workshop of his Blacktown auto wrecker’s business in December 1995.

Police said a post-mortem examination found the 52-year-old died of severe blunt force trauma to the head and face.

No one was ever charged with his murder, despite the offer of a $100,000 reward in 1998.

Detectives re-opened the case in 2018 and are set to announce a NSW government reward of $1 million for information that leads to the conviction of those behind Dastan’s murder.
