RHOBH’s Carlton Gebbia denies abusing her nanny

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alumni Carton Gebbia has hit back at claims by a former nanny that the celebrity abused her and threw herself off the second story of her home

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alumni Carton Gebbia has hit back at claims by a former nanny that the celebrity abused her and threw herself off the second story of her home.

A lawsuit seen by TMZ states the anonymous housekeeper was hired by the 44-year-old star in 2001 and worked as a chauffeur, grocery shopper and assistant for six years.

During which time, the employee claimed she was physically and verbally abused by Gebbia.

The South African-born RHOBH actress dismissed the accusations, saying the woman was making up the claims to hit back at the family for firing her after she stopped showing up to work.

Among the claims made by the nanny are that Gebbia slapped her, was often drunk, broke a TV with a baseball bat and attacked her at her home four months ago, according to TMZ.

The TV incident, the nanny said, led to her being pushed against a door so hard she had to take two weeks off work and the following month she was fired.

Gebbia was also accused of attempting to harm herself, including throwing herself off the second floor of her home.

But Gebbia told TMZ she had no idea she was even being sued until she saw the website’s article.

She said although the accusations hurt her, she was not surprised.

The RHOBH star told the website she started noticing expensive jewelry going missing recently, to which the nanny had accessed.

Although the housekeeper denied taking it, Gebbia told her to take a lie detector test, to which she agreed.

It is then said she did not turn up for work for two weeks, leading the family to let her go.

Gebbia denied any allegations she attacked the housekeeper in a drunken rage, but did admit to smashing the TV.

She said it was a ‘fun thing’ she did with her children as a joke.

MailOnline has contacted Gebbia for a comment, but nobody was immediately available.
