‘As a young girl growing up in the country I watched Today so it’s really awesome to know it’ll be my new home.’

Richard’s demotion comes shortly after Today show anchor Karl Stefanovic, 44, was axed from Channel Nine’s breakfast program on Wednesday.

Karl’s sacking came less than 24 hours after his brother Peter, 37, was dropped from the network altogether in what has been a major shakeup at the breakfast program.
