Richard Wilkins leaves a Christmas lunch in Sydney

He’s the veteran entertainment reporter known for making women swoon.

And on Friday, Richard ‘Dickie’ Wilkins showed exactly why he’s a favourite with the ladies when he was snapped wearing a all-black ensemble for a Christmas party.

The 63-year-old was spotted leaving the long lunch in Surry Hills, Sydney as he kicked off the festive season.

The Today star rocked the figure-concealing outfit, which featured a simple shirt tucked into a tight pair of jeans.

The strides were held up with the help of a black belt, which matched Dickie’s stylish leather boots.

Keeping things professional, the TV favourite added a black blazer as he exited the ritzy venue with a group of pals – including former Home and Away star, Kate Richie.

However, despite the festivities and the impending silly season, Dickie seemed somewhat downcast, his brows furrowed as he made his way to a car.

Perhaps the reporter was ready for the weekend, after another busy week on his hit morning breakfast show.

It was a big week for the Today Show, with Georgie Gardener announced as Lisa Wilkinson’s replacement on Thursday morning. 

Dickie was on hand to offer a warm welcome to the blonde, who is believed to be taking the helm after the summer break.

Meanwhile, Dickie went above and beyond on Tuesday, putting his best foot forward for local performing arts as he attended the launch of the Western Sydney Performing Arts Centre.

The star looked dapper in a black tux as he posed for cameras at the event.
