An Australian tourist who was filmed allegedly urinating outside a shop in Bali has been arrested after walking out of a restaurant without paying.

Footage of the man, believed to be Rick O’Miara, 26, went viral last week after he allegedly passed out next to a shop in Ngurah Rai Street, in Kuta, while urinating.

O’Miara was arrested on Thursday after he allegedly walked out of a restaurant without paying.

Police said the tourist appeared ‘stoned’ and believe he may have taken magic mushrooms.

‘He’s went viral with the video where he peed,’ police told Dedik News.

‘We looked for him along By Pass Ngurah Rai road, but he showed up around Kuta just earlier this morning.

‘He ate [at a restaurant] without paying, so he was brought to the police station, but then he was taken to Satpol PP because he’s stoned.’

Satpol PP act as public order police in Kuta.

When interviewed by officers O’Miara allegedly refused to tell them who he was or show them any ID, according to Bali Plus.

The Australian’s case is now being managed by Bali immigration due to his suspected consumption of magic mushrooms which is categorized as Class 1 narcotics.

Even though the recreational drug has been classed under the same category as meth and marijuana since 2014, it is still extremely popular among tourists in Bali.

O’Miara’s arrest comes in the wake of a series of embarrassing incidents in Bali, prompting a warning to all foreigners.

Bali Governor Wayan Koster said disrespectful visitors would be removed from the country.

‘In the future, if there are tourists behaving like that we should just send them home, they are being disorderly coming to Bali. We will give them this warning,’ Governor Koster told reporters.

‘They shouldn’t think merely on the basis of income, and then allow tourists to engage in disrespectful behavior,’ he said.

His comments came after Instagram influencer and model Sabina Dolezalova, posted a video of her boyfriend Zdenek Slouka spraying holy water from a fountain on to her backside.

Senator Dr Arya Wedakarna called the pair as ‘disgusting’ and their behaviour ‘unacceptable’.

Following the backlash, the couple took to Instagram to apologise for their actions.

‘We are so sorry about the video from yesterday. We dishonoured the holy temple and the holy water in Ubud,’ Slouka said.

‘We didn’t know it [was holy] and we are so sorry about what happened’.
