Ricki-Lee Coulter makes a major announcement about her flourishing radio career

Singer Ricki-Lee Coulter is marking a major milestone in her radio career. 

The Nova radio host has had a huge broadcasting win, with her afternoon drive show coming first in the latest radio rankings. 

Ricki-Lee, 37, regularly filled in on the Kate, Tim and Joel show which aired every week day from 4-6pm. 

However, in March, former Home And Away star Kate Ritchie shocked fans when she revealed she would be stepping down from the show. 

Her move was positive for Ricki-Lee, however, as she earned a permanent spot on the show, which is now called Ricki-Lee, Tim and Joel.

She hosts the afternoon show alongside established presenters Joel Creasey and Tim Blackwell.

The change proved successful for Nova as its national drive show remains number one in the country. 

Taking to Instagram on Tuesday night, Ricki-Lee shared the exciting news with her 300k followers.

‘Thanks Australia for making us your #1 Drive Show!’ she wrote.

‘Celebrating today with my boys and our amazing team.’

Friends and followers of the radio presenter and singer jumped to the comments to congratulate her on the amazing news. 

Stylist Natalia De Martin commented: ‘Congrats guys’. 

While TV host Rob Mills said: ‘Congrats mate’. 

And a fan wrote: ‘Yayyyy I made the switch when you were filling in. The 3 of you are great together.’

Former host Kate shocked fans when she revealed she was leaving her show on Nova three months ago to jump ship to another programme on the station, now called Fitzy & Wippa with Kate Ritchie.

In an Instagram post, she wrote: ‘It was a really hard decision because I’ve been working since I was an eight-year-old child and I think that I thrive by having a schedule every day.

‘I am not good at just sitting with myself.

‘I have done so many great things this year, but it was just time to have confidence in saying, “This is what I need”.’
