The unusual name of Rihanna and A$AP Rocky’s second son has been revealed, a month after the singer gave birth.
The Diamonds hitmaker, 35, and the rapper, 34, have named their son Riot Rose Mayers, as per The Blast.
The name might be a nod to A$AP’s recent song ‘Riot’ from earlier this year, which featured Pharrell Williams.
As per the birth certificate obtained by the publication, Riot was born on August 1, 2023, at Cedar Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles at 7:41 a.m.
The couple opted to keep with their naming tradition, using yet another moniker that started with an ‘R’, after naming their first son, born in May of 2022, RZA Athelston Mayers.

Rihanna’s OB-GYN is also listed as Thais Aliabadi who has famously worked with with Khloe Kardashian and Kylie Jenner during appearances on Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
The doctor also helped deliver Al Pacino, 83, and girlfriend Noor Alfallah’s, 29, son Roman.
It is yet to be seen when the pair decide to share photos of their new bundle of joy.
Previously Rihanna shared snaps of RZA a few months after his birth.
Last month it was reported that the pair welcomed their second child.
Rihanna famously announced her second pregnancy when she showed up at the Super Bowl halftime show in February with a baby bump.
The pair carefully selected the name RZA for their first son.
Their boy’s name is a tribute to producer and rapper RZA, 54, leader of the Wu-Tang Clan, whose real name is Robert Fitzgerald Diggs.
It is also a nod to A$AP’s middle name.

The Barbados born superstar previously opened up about motherhood in an interview with British Vogue in March.
‘Having a kid honestly unlocks another side of life where you’re now in the matrix with the people who’ve already had kids,’ she said, adding, ‘You come to have a different respect for moms and dads.’
The Fenty Beauty CEO went on to say that ‘everything changes when you have a baby.’
‘Oh my God, it’s legendary. It’s everything. You really don’t remember life before, that’s the craziest thing ever. You literally try to remember it – and there are photos of my life before – but the feeling, the desires, the things that you enjoy, everything, you just don’t identify with it because you don’t even allow yourself mentally to get that far because… Because it doesn’t matter.’
Rihanna and A$AP started dating in 2020 after having been linked professionally as early as 2013.
The couple sparked marriage rumors when they were at the 2023 Cannes Lions Festival on June 21.
A$AP referred to Rihanna as his ‘wife’ during his Spotify concert.
He said as Rihanna grinned in the crowd: ‘I’d like to dedicate this song to my beautiful wife in the motherf****** building!’
But the pair have stayed silent on whether they secretly got hitched.
