The star started out paying $39,000-a-month for the flat, which has since climbed to a whopping $50,000.

It was put up for sale on Thursday, but sources told The New York Post if Rihanna changes her mind and wants to stay it could go back off the market.

The seller is celebrity fashion photographer Antoine, who bought the duplex for $6.1million in 2005 and has been trying to sell it since 2009 – with prices varying from $18.7million to $9.6million at different times.

Verglas has photographed supermodels like Naomi Campbell, Claudia Schiffer, Cindy Crawford, Stephanie Seymour and Linda Evangelista as well as First Lady Melania Trump.

Previous occupants of the building include Theodora and Alexandra Richards, the model daughters of Rolling Stones legend Keith Richards and Patti Hansen, who sold their third-floor flat last year.

The singer candidly confessed that she has to think about whether she is having a ‘fat week’ or a ‘skinny week’ when considering her wardrobe.

Speaking to The Cut, the songstress said: ‘I actually have had the pleasure of a fluctuating body type, where one day I can literally fit into something that is bodycon, and then the next day – the next week – I need something oversized.

‘I really pay attention every day when I go into the closet about what’s working for my body that morning,’ she said, adding: ‘It’s an individual thing.’

She considered: ‘If you take it further, it’s like: “What week are you having? You having a skinny week? You having a fat week? Are we doing arms this week? We doing legs this week? We doing oversized?”‘
