Meanwhile, Taika recently opened up about meeting Rita, with the pair having first interacted when actor Robert Pattison brought her to his house.

He explained: ‘We got to chatting and for the next three-and-a-half years we were just good mates. We were in different relationships, both of us. It was a good friendship and then we decided to ruin it.’

Taika went on to say that he loves that the couple are both hard work and have their independence but are also ‘best friends’.

It was reported in August that the couple tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in London.

The singer was said to have already changed her surname and will now be known as Mrs Waititi-Ora.

In the months after their wedding, Rita and Taika have both been pictured with gold bands on their ring fingers.

Rita and Taika started dating in March 2021, before going public with their romance that August.

The couple got engaged in June, and sources now claim that they are planning a huge party to celebrate their secret wedding with friends and family.
