At the age of 53, Roberto Mancini has proved that you can still have the chiseled abs and incredible physique long after you’ve retired from playing professional football.

While enjoying some downtime on holiday, Mancini strutted his stuff along the beach before joining his wife, Silvia Fortini, on the sun loungers in Saint-Tropez.

Mancini, who currently manages Italy, put passersby to shame with his toned figure while he soaked up the sun and played card games on Friday afternoon.

He may be keeping his team selection for next month’s UEFA Nations League games close to his chest but he failed to hide his hand while passing the time with his wife.

Mancini is yet to reveal his provisional squad for Italy’s games against Poland and Portugal next month but an announcement is expected in the next few days.

The former Manchester City boss took on the role as Italy’s head coach in May after a disastrous spell Gian Piero Ventura saw the Italians fail to qualify for this summer’s World Cup in Russia.

Mancini got off to a flying start when he won his first match in charge before losing in a friendly to France in June.
