The Stewart family appear to have been back in the UK for a week, with Penny posting snaps taken at their Essex mansion.

Maggie May singer Rod looked stylish in a suede shearling coat and scarlet jeans as he joined his family for the applause.

Penny wore a similar shearling jacket paired with a mustard yellow skirt and quilted boots as she carried a saucepan and a spoon for the event.

While Renee, who Rod shares with ex wife Rachel Hunter, kept it casual in a black jacket, hoodie and joggers.

The USA has put measures in place to limit the spread of coronavirus. The Foreign and Commonwealth Office has advised British Nationals against all but essential international travel.

Those returning to the UK from different countries are advised to go straight home from the airport, stay at home and only go outside for food, health reasons, daily exercise or work if work from home is not possible.

The appearance comes after Rod and his daughter Ruby, 32 held a charity show in the singer’s Florida home live via Instagram earlier this month.

Rod held the #TogetherAtHome mini-concert to help raise money for the World Health Organisation and Global Citizen amid the ongoing coronavirus crisis.

After the pair had sung a number of Rod’s classic hits, they were joined by Penny Lancaster and their sons Aiden and Alastair at the end of the video to sing Forever Young in an acapella style.

Earlier on in the show, Rod and Ruby performed When I Was Younger and Dirty Old Town on guitars, before moving to the piano to sing a rendition of Swing Low, Sweet Chariot together.

Rod shared his gratitude for those working on the frontlines of the pandemic, as he said: ‘Thank you all the healthcare workers worldwide for putting their lives at risk to care for others. God bless you we’ll play you back somehow, we have to.’

Rod married Penny, his third wife, in 2007.

He was previously wed to Alana Stewart with whom he has daughter Kimberly, 40, and son Sean, 39.

His second wife Rachel Hunter is the mother of his daughter Renee and son Liam, 25.

Rod also has daughter Sarah Streeter, 57 with ex Susannah Boffey.
