Ronnie and Georgia open up about failing their auction

They were the only couple who failed to sell their home on The Block last week.

And on Saturday, Ronnie, 41, and Georgia Caceres opened up about being the only team to have had their home passed in over the last 10 seasons.

Speaking to Daily Telegraph, the 33-year-old said there was nothing to do but ‘have faith’ in the process and her agent during the nerve-wracking experience.

Heart-breaking: On Saturday, Ronnie, 41, and Georgia Caceres opened up about being the only team to have had their home passed in over the last 10 seasons

‘The auction is the real world,’ she said.

‘You win some and you lose some. You have to put your faith in your agent and know they are the experts.’

‘And passing something in is not necessarily a bad thing,’ she continued.

The pair’s realisation comes after a heart wrenching finale which saw buyers fail to meet their $2.62 million dollar reserve.

With Georgia reduced to tears by the result, the auctioneer left the bidding room to join the couple and advise they restart bidding.

The distraught couple decided to pass in the home, but little did they know that potential buyers had yet to finish putting in offers for the property.

Familiar face Frank offered up $2.725 million for the four-bedroom, four-bathroom home, but it was bidder Nicole’s final offer of $2.781 that saved the day.

The offer was $161,000 above their reserve, so Ronnie and Georgia accepted it and called it a day.

Although the pair’s home initially looked as if it would be the series’ flop, the couple ended in third place behind Jason and Sarah and winners Josh and Elyse who took home a profit of $547,000 on their $2.62 million home.
