He recently embarked on a European tour with The Rolling Stones, their 48th since the legendary band were formed, after being given the go-ahead by doctors.

And Ronnie Wood was keen to keep himself in peak physical condition, embarking on a brisk jog in Paris on Monday.

The 70-year-old musician rocked an eclectic jumper with coloured spots for his outing, taking a break from performing with his band-mates to keep in shape.

Ronnie teamed the space-tastic jumper with comfy trainers and black jeans as he headed out on the relaxed jog.

The musician revealed he suffered with a lung cancer scare in August, telling Event magazine that he prepared to ‘say goodbye’ to his family following the diagnosis.

He said: ‘There was a week when everything hung in the balance and it could have been curtains – time to say goodbye. You never know what is going to happen.’

Ronnie revealed he first went for a general check-up after quitting smoking a year before, with the doctor finding  ‘a supernova burning away on my left lung,’ as the singer described.

After a five hour operation on his lungs, Ronnie found out that the cancer had not spread to his lymph nodes, and was given the all-clear by doctors.

The father-of-six added: ‘I’m OK now. But I’m going to have a check-up every three months. They caught it early. People have to get checked. Seriously have to get checked. I was bloody lucky but then I’ve always had a very strong guardian angel looking out for me. By rights I shouldn’t be here.’
