US television star Roseanne Barr has returned to social media to say sorry for her racist Twitter rant – blaming her actions on sleeping pills and that she thought the target of her abuse was white.
The ABC actress took to Twitter to defend herself after her show ‘Roseanne’ was cancelled after she referred to former Barack Obama aide Valerie Jarrett as a product of the Muslim Brotherhood and ‘Planet of the Apes’.
Barr blamed her outburst sleeping pill Ambien and asked her fans not to defend her – but has been retweeted and liked dozens of messages of support to her.
She tweeted: ‘Guys I did something unforgiveable so do not defend me. It was 2 in the morning and I was ambien tweeting-it was memorial day too-i went 2 far & do not want it defended-it was egregious Indefensible. I made a mistake I wish I hadn’t but…don’t defend it please. ty (sic)’
