Roxy Jacenko to undergo breast reconstruction

She suffered a devastating health blow last year, when she was diagnosed with breast cancer.

And after undergoing a six-week radiation program and a partial removal surgery in order to fight the disease, Roxy Jacenko contracted capsular contracture, which can cause uneven breasts.

Speaking to Daily Mail Australia on Thursday, the 37-year-old admitted it was her six-year-old daughter Pixie who pointed out the severity of her lopsided assets and prompted her to schedule breast reconstruction surgery.

‘It was Pixie who said to me, “Mum, what an earth is wrong with your top?” when I was off out to Stakes Day,’ Roxy, who is also a mother to three-year-old Hunter divulged.

‘When it comes from a kid you always know they are telling it to you straight!’

Capsular contracture is a condition that causes the breast implant to harden and ripple and is a complication from cancer radiation treatment.

The PR maven added: ‘I had noticed that there was a problem but in my normal Roxy style I didn’t really bother about sorting it out.’

Roxy, who is married to stockbroker Oliver Curtis, added her husband also weighed in with his thoughts.

‘Oli chimed in – but was more like, “you do know there is a bit of a problem!”‘ she explained.

‘He has no issue with me fixing it, that’s life. He is very supportive and we are all just so thankful that the cancer has not returned and that my surgery to remove it and subsequent treatment went so well.’

Ahead of her reconstruction surgery, the glamorous publicist appeared keen to cover up her ample assets with relatively modest attire.

On Wednesday she sported a $1000 black sweater dress to attend a China Diner lunch in Sydney’s exclusive Double Bay.

Same size: While some women would be tempted to upsize when it comes to another boob job, Roxy said she's happy to opt for the same size as before

‘This is purely about correcting the capsular contracture issue that has come about off the back of six weeks daily radiation,’ Roxy explained.

An avid gym user, Roxy did mention however, that she wasn’t looking forward to the six-week recovery time interrupting her regular workouts after the surgery.

‘I won’t be able to maintain my gym regime which I really enjoy, as lifting weights or anything heavy is a no go,’ she said.
