Roxy Jacenko’s painful sunburn during Gold Coast holiday

She’s been making the most of the warm weather by hanging poolside as much as possible during her Gold Coast holiday.

And Roxy Jacenko has fallen victim to one of the unfortunate side effects of summer, sporting painful-looking sunburn as she went for a swim on Friday.

The 37-year-old sported noticeably red skin on her chest and arms as she showcased her gym honed curves in a blue bikini.

Roxy’s unfortunate sunburn also extended to her legs and parts of her stomach and was visible underneath her golden tan.

Despite her red skin the spin queen still looked picture perfect, showcasing her new cleavage in a bandeau blue bikini top.

She paired the top with matching skimpy bottoms and a Boston Red Sox baseball cap.

Roxy appeared in high spirits as she relaxed by the pool at the Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort.

The Sweaty Betty was joined in the water by her husband Oliver Curtis and six-year-old daughter Pixie.

She was all smiles as she smiled adoringly at her family, also gesturing enthusiastically as she chatted to a friend on a sun lounger.

Roxy arrived on the Gold Coast on Boxing Day via private jet and is thought to be spending New Years Eve at the glitzy beachside town.

The PR maven’s family holiday comes after Roxy underwent two breast reconstruction operations earlier this month.

Roxy, who first got breast implants aged 24, developed capsular contracture after undergoing radiation for breast cancer in 2016.

Capsular contracture occurs when tissue forms around a breast implant, causing it to harden or become misshaped.

Despite undergoing two surgeries to fix the condition, Roxy told Daily Mail Australia earlier this month she was unfazed by the operations.

‘Not a lot makes me nervous, I think anyone who has experienced cancer or a medical condition gets to a point where you just go do what you have to do,’ she said.

‘Being nervous, fear etc, takes a back seat and you just focus on getting on with it and getting through it and better.’
