Roy Moore’s spokesperson Janet Porter got into a bizarre argument with a CNN anchor last night where she told him to go and read ‘Abraham Lincoln’s blog’ and cited an expert who is a Holocaust denier.

Porter had been invited onto the show to discuss Moore’s insistence that there was election fraud in the Alabama senate race in which he lost to Doug Jones.

It was the first time the state had elected a Democrat to the US Senate in 25 years and it came after Moore was accused of assaulting teenage girls while in his 30s.

The Republican has refused to concede the race despite an 84-page lawsuit being thrown out by a judge, and Jones’s win being formally certified yesterday.

Porter told John Berman on CNN: ‘What we’re talking about here is far bigger than a United States senate race.

‘We’re talking about whether or not the people of Alabama have the right and the privilege, the duty to be able to have fair and free elections and make sure that their ballot is counted, and the assurance that it is counted properly.’

Berman told Porter that the lawsuit was just an argument that cited four election ‘machine’ experts rather than evidence – including one that is a Holocaust denier.

A judge threw out Moore's 84-page lawsuit and Doug Jones has been formally certified. Jim Condit Jr, whose tweet Berman quoted is pictured above, is one of the experts the lawsuit cited. Porter said that the idea Condit Jr was antisemitic was completely untrue

Initially assuming Berman was trying to dismiss her expert Jim Condit Jr for no reason Porter said: ‘I mean maybe the guy got a C- in spelling in the fourth grade, you know you can discount anybody you want.’

He then quoted a tweet in which he said there was a ‘Jewish shadow government’ that the USA was ‘fighting’, which Porter claimed was ‘not true’ at all.

She then jokingly told him to check ‘Abraham Lincoln’s blog’ because you shouldn’t trust everything you read on the internet.

Porter and Berman continued to discuss the merits of Condit Jr and his 39 years of experience against his antisemitism until the strange interview ended.
