So Russell Crowe somewhat confused his fans on Tuesday, when he enjoyed a night out at the Britain’s Got Talent semi-final.
Tuning into the ITV broadcast, eagle-eyed fans quickly spotted the 54-year-old clapping and cheering from the audience – and immediately vented their surprise on Twitter.

While the show was filled with thrilling auditions, viewers soon became distracted when they spotted Russell in the audience.
Clad in a smart navy suit and sporting a bushy beard, the Master and Commander star cut a casually cool figure as he sat back and enjoyed the show, beside comedian Jimmy Carr and actress Samantha Barks.
Slightly confused however, a number of viewers soon took to Twitter to question why the Hollywood star was in the audience.

Sharing screen shots of the Man Of Steel star in his seat, excitable fans wrote: ‘What I want to know is what is Russell Crowe doing in the #BGT audience!’
‘#BGT did I just see Russell Crowe in the audience?’ and ‘Why is Russell Crowe watching BGT? Why do I find this strange? My brain can’t process this.’
Another fan even joked of the evening’s stage intruder: ‘The prankster who stormed onto was really brave considering Gladiator’s in the audience’
The actor was no doubt present with Samantha to support fellow Les Miserable star Alfie Boe, who was performing during the ITV results show.
After the live event, held at the Hammersmith Apollo, Russell posed for a few snaps backstage with judge David Walliams and his showbiz pals.
Sharing one to his own Instagram page, Little Britain star David wrote with excitement: ‘A-list guests at BGT tonight!’
Russell arrived in London earlier this week, and was spotted laughing and joking with his assistant in Chelsea ahead of his appearance on the ITV show.
The star is no doubt enjoying some down time in the capital, after his divorce from ex Danielle Spencer was finalised last month.
