Russian beauty queen, 27, in paternity row with former king of Malaysia issues pictures

A Russian beauty queen has hit back at claims that she refused a DNA test immediately after the birth of her son during her marriage to the former Malaysian king.

Palace sources had insisted Oksana Voevodina, 27, twice blocked his demand to prove the child was his, and as a result his lawyer publicly questioned the royal paternity.

But as the baby reaches six months, she has released a poignant email sent to 50-year-old Sultan Muhammad V of Kelantan just days after the child – called Ismail Leon – was born in Moscow in May.

Oksana Voevodina, 27, issued pictures to help prove the former king of Malaysia is her baby’s father

She said: 'I'll send you few pictures and hope you no longer need to do the DNA test, because Ismail is a copy of you'

‘But if you still doubt, you can do the test, I don’t mind.’

Palace insiders close to the ex-king – who abdicated his throne in January after details of his secret marriage to Oksana leaked – had claimed she twice blocked a DNA test.

One issued a starkly personal attack on Oksana saying: ‘Perhaps she first wanted to see what the child looked like.

‘Maybe she wasn’t sure herself who was the biological father.’

It was ‘so suspicious that she declined’ a DNA test.

Yet her message – sent when the baby was one week old in late May – strongly indicates she was ready for a DNA test, even though she believed there was no need.

‘I still don’t know how I offended you, but if i did, then please forgive me too.’

Her message on 28 May was at the start of what has become a titanic divorce settlement battle between the couple who had a whirlwind royal romance.

At the time, she told him: ‘I want to ask you, before you send the lawyers to me again, please don’t start to fight with me.

‘For the sake of the child, I want us to decide everything peacefully … therefore I didn’t want to meet with any of your lawyers.

‘If you send lawyers, it means that I am your enemy.

‘And if I also find lawyers, it will mean that we are enemies to each other.

‘Think about the child, it will be hard for him to grow, knowing that parents don’t even communicate with each other.

‘It will be difficult for us to arrange your meetings in the future because of this conflict.

‘(A) child needs a father, especially a boy.

‘He is waiting for you to meet him and be a good father and friend to him.

‘And problems between us shouldn’t concern him, because he is not guilty here.’

Malaysian sources say the sultan was upset that the marriage had become public knowledge.

They also say he was shocked that following a Moscow wedding ceremony in November 2018 newspapers revealed she had taken part in a lurid TV reality show when it was claimed she had sex in a swimming pool in Mexico with a male participant.
