Shocking moment Russian man ‘threatens to punch a woman on German subway who he thought was Ukrainian…before another female passenger intervenes’
- Kardelen Queck, an actress based in Germany, shared a video of the encounter
- The half Russian woman bravely refused to tell the man she was not Ukrainian
A woman has shared the shocking moment a Russian man allegedly became aggressive and threatened to attack her as she travelled on the subway in Germany, thinking she was Ukrainian.
Kardelen Queck, an actress who lives in Germany, shared a TikTok video of herself looking visibly shaken as she can be heard pleading with the man to leave her alone.
The man, she said, had asked to use her internet hotspot before he allegedly became threatening.
She decided to start recording on the train after the man persistently asked her where she is from, whether she is Ukrainian and what she is doing in Germany.
Kardalen, who is half Russian, bravely refused to tell the man she was not Ukrainian, saying she would not let him scare her, before another woman who was travelling on the train intervened to help.

Kardelen explained in the video: ‘Yesterday in Germany, some Russian guy think I’m Ukrainian and he tried to attack me.
‘He asked to use my internet for five minutes, I said for sure. And then he asked constantly where I am from. What I am doing in Germany. Am I Russian or Ukrainian, he is from Russia.’
She alleged that the man said in Russian that he would punch her, a threat that left her ‘shaking’.
Following the incident, she said: ‘I called my husband after. As a woman that was horrible, all I wanted to help but the guy was so unpredictable and a German lady helped me, so it was sad story.’
‘As women, we are exposed to this kind of behaviour every day. There were a lot of people, only one German girl supported me. Never remain silent in the face of such behaviour.’
Kardalen, who has around 20,000 followers on TikTok and 55,000 on Instagram, shared the video last week to raise awareness of the often frightening encounters women can have with men on public transport
The German woman appears to try and intervene by distracting the man, speaking over him and taking his attention away from Kardalen.
The actress and influencer said the man rudely asked her to change seat and was acting ‘crazy’.
Kardalen captioned the video: ‘I am half Russian and my heart goes with Ukrainian people I will never and ever support war or any kind of violence!’
In a message of unity in the face of the the man’s apparent intolerance, she added: ‘No matter where you come from, be human first!’
