Ryan O’Neal runs errands with the assistance of a cane… after paying tribute to his ‘angel’ Farrah Fawcett on the 12-year anniversary of her death

He paid tribute to his long-time love Farrah Fawcett on the 12-year anniversary of her death last week.

And Ryan O’Neal was spotted on a grocery run just days after honoring his ‘angel’ in a sentimental Instagram post.

The actor, 80, was spotted running errands in Brentwood, California, with the assistance of a cane.

Ryan kept it casual for the occasion with a black long-sleeve shirt and loose acid wash jeans.

He strolled comfortably through the parking lot in grey trainers.

A pair of lightly tinted sunglasses added a touch of cool to the look.

The Paper Moon actor strolled at a leisurely pace across the parking lot before arriving at his car, where he hopped into the passenger’s seat.

The outing comes just days after Ryan paid tribute to his long-time love, Charlie’s Angels actress Farrah Fawcett, whom he was with for decades before her death 12 years ago.

Farrah was 62-years-old when she died following a battle with anal cancer on June 25, 2009.

On the anniversary of her death last month, Ryan posted a passionate photo of himself embracing Farrah.

‘Missing my angel. (red heart emoji) Forever,’ Ryan captioned the Herb Ritts photo.

Farrah was still married to Lee Majors, the star of the hit show The Six Million Dollar Man, when she and Ryan met in 1979 and fell in love.

‘There was never a day I didn’t love her,’ Ryan confessed in an interview with People in 2019.

As fate would have it, the couple’s strong attraction for each other was sealed when Lee asked Ryan to check up on his wife while he was away filming.

The Love Story actor and Charlie’s Angels star would go on to become one of Hollywood’s ‘it’ couples, which included welcoming son Redmond in 1985.

Their relationship was described as tumultuous at times, in part, due to Ryan’s reputation as a ladies man and his sometimes volatile behavior.

But still, their attraction and bond could never be denied.

Farrah and Ryan split in 1997 after 18-years together, but they reconciled four years later when the actress took care of Ryan after he was diagnosed with leukemia.

The tables were turned in 2006 when Farrah was diagnosed with anal cancer.

Ryan was at Farrah’s bedside during her final weeks in the hospital, where he finally proposed marriage.

‘I think they would’ve married if she had made it because he asked her to marry him in the hospital and she said yes. But she took a turn for the worse,’ Farrah’s friend Alana Stewart told People.

‘The two of them had a deep bond and deep love. No matter what they went through, the ups and downs, he was the one she wanted by her side.

Farrah passed away as O’Neal held her hand on June 25, 2009.
