Reynolds purchased the Welsh club Wrexham with Rob in 2020 and have since filmed a documentary about the experience that will be released August  24 on FX.

Ryan shared that he met Rob initially just by sliding into his DMs and it went from there.

But their lack of football knowledge has had David Beckham openly mocking them.

Rob showed a clip from one of the team’s recent games at Wembley stadium where a member of their team head butted the ball into a goal. Rob and Ryan were filmed celebrating what they thought was a goal not noticing that a referee had thrown down an offsides flag.

‘How humiliating,’ Ryan said.

Ryan joked that no one understood the offsides rule. Rob said one person did – David Beckham who was in the box at the game with them.

‘We were cheering,’ Rob said. ‘We looked over at Beckham. He was just shaking his head.’

Rob said he really cherished becoming one of Ryan’s closest friends.

‘You are the hardest working person I have ever met in my entire life,’ Rob said.

Rob asked him how many other people’s DMs did he slide into on a daily basis.

‘Not very often but this one in particular changed my life,’ Ryan said. ‘This is what led to us becoming co-owners of the Wrexham football club.’

Rob played a clip from the documentary that captures the first time Rob and Ryan met each other in person.

‘It’s so weird to see you without the Disney princess filter on your Zoom,’ Ryan joked when he saw him.

Ryan also shared that he wasn’t even much of a football fan when he initially purchased the club but that has changed.

‘I understand the absolutely gorgeous disaster, slow motion train wreck that is the sport of football,’ Ryan said. ‘I’m obsessed now.’

Rob said that Ryan was also good at marketing. Ryan said he had a whole marketing company.

‘I love it,’ Ryan said. ‘I’ve always loved it. Commercials are like diet storytelling.’

Ryan said he loved making commercials.

‘It’s all storytelling,’ Ryan said. ‘I did a couple commercials recently with my Mom who is in her 70’s now.’

‘She shows up and she’s ready to go,’ Ryan said. ‘Short hair, don’t care.’

Ryan said he was hoping to do a commercial soon with his wife Blake. Ryan shared that he recently did a spot with Rob’s wife Always Sunny co-star Kaitlin Olson.

‘She’s a comedic sniper,’ Ryan said.

They played a clip of the mock erectile dysfunction commercial with Kaitlin along with a Rob lookalike.

‘Was that guy supposed to be me?’ Rob said.

‘No,’ Ryan said. ‘Relax, Hector Projector, that wasn’t you. Let’s not rush to judgment before all the facts are in. You want to talk about the first version I did of this starred Baby Yoda.

‘Before you freak out, Baby Yoda when we meet him in the Mandalorian is 50 year-old. The actual Yoda in Star Wars goes on to live to 900 years old before dying in Return of the Jedi. He also produced powerful erections right through his 700s. ‘

‘Then why didn’t you use that one?’ Rob said.

‘Because he looks nothing like you,’ Ryan concluded.
