Ryan Seacrest recalls how he was initially DENIED entry into Jennifer Lopez’s 50th birthday bash because his name wasn’t on the list

Apparently, even if you’re Ryan Seacrest, it doesn’t mean you’re automatically admitted to the hottest party in town.

The biggest bash by far this week was Jennifer Lopez’s 50th birthday shindig in Miami, Florida, which took place at Gloria Estefan’s estate on Wednesday night and included guests like Alex Rodriguez, DJ Khaled, Ashanti and Fat Joe.

And although Seacrest personally received an invite from his friend J-Lo and flew down to Florida from New York specifically for the occasion, he was at first not allowed entry because his name wasn’t on the list, as he told co-host Kelly Ripa on Live With Kelly And Ryan on Thursday morning.

You’re not allowed in: Ryan Seacrest told co-host Kelly Ripa on Live With Kelly And Ryan on Thursday that he at first was denied entry into Jennifer Lopez’s birthday party in Miami

Seacrest talked about his experience on his show, to an incredulous Kelly Ripa, who was in turn amused and flabbergasted by the tale along with their studio audience.

‘So I get to the front, and he’s got the list and I see a bunch of Ryans,’ Seacrest says, of the bouncer at the door to the swanky event.

‘He goes, “You’re not on the list,”‘ Ryan says, to disbelieving ‘ooh’s from the Live audience.

‘This is a true story,’ Ryan assures Kelly. ‘Sure enough, there’s a Ryan T., Ryan Z., there’s no Ryan Seacrest.’

Thinking the doorman would allow him in nonetheless, Seacrest was then shocked to be told, ‘Wait under the fan’ while the staff made a phone call to the powers that be.

‘Under the FAN?!’ Kelly replies in mock horror. ‘Do you know how long it took him to do his hair??’

While he was eventually let in, on top of Ryan’s foibles at the door to the party, he was also under a different kind of pressure: he could only stay at the event for a little while, because he had to get back to New York to film Live early the next morning.

After witnessing a super romantic and heartfelt speech delivered by J-Lo’s fiance A-Rod (or Alex Rodriguez), everyone took their seats for dinner, with Ryan thinking he could slip out unnoticed as the evening progressed so he could make his return flight.

But then Seacrest found that that where he was seated made slipping out a little challenging—he was placed to the immediate right of the birthday girl herself.

‘Difficult if you have to leave,’ Seacrest tells Kelly. ‘We’re having a good time, but I’m panicked.’

In the end, Ryan was indeed able to leave and make it back to New York in time to film his show with Kelly, but he later realized he missed a lot of the festivities—J-Lo reportedly partied with her guests well into the early morning hours.
