S Club 7 singer Jo O’Meara overcomes her fears as she takes takes to the skies for wing walk 

Jo O’Meara showed that she could bravely overcome her fears as she took to the skies for a charity wingwalk on Sunday.

The S Club 7 singer donned in an eye catching yellow T-shirt and dark blue denim jeans as she raised money for the dog charity K9 Angels in Essex.

The star, 43, was strapped on top of the wing of the plane before taking off into the skies for the daredevil stunt.

The former Big Brother star swept her long blonde tresses out of her face as she put on a pair of clear goggles. 

Taking to Instagram, Jo shared a short clip of her preparing to take off in the orange plane. 

She penned: ‘I DID IT!!! Never in my wildest dreams did I think I could take on the #wingwalkchallenge!

The brave stunt follows after Jo spoke of a life-threatening incident that occurred during a flight to New Zealand in 2016.

She told Celebrity Skin Talk she suffered medical complications mid-flight that ‘almost killed’ her and was taken to hospital immediately after landing.

‘Back in 2016, I had a bit of a situation. I got a strangulated bowel on a plane and I had to be rushed into surgery,’ Jo explained to host Scott McGlynn.

‘It nearly killed me, to be honest. I was in hospital for a really long time,’ she revealed.

‘They wouldn’t let me fly home because I was so poorly. I then found out a trauma can help bring on adult acne, which I didn’t know existed until I had it myself.’

Jo rose to fame as a member of pop band S Club 7 in the late 1990s and early 2000s.

Despite being part of one of Britain’s biggest musical exports, her first solo album only reached No. 48 in the charts when it was released in 2005.

She took a break from the spotlight after finding herself at the centre of a race row with Jade Goody and Danielle Lloyd on Celebrity Big Brother in 2007.

The musician chatted to presenter Christine Lampard ahead of the release of her new solo album With Love.

Jo, who previously revealed she quit smoking and alcohol as part of a lifestyle overhaul, surprised many viewers with her drastically different appearance.
