SAG Awards 2024: Tan France ROASTED for ‘awkward’ backstage flirting with Pedro Pascal – before actor quips he’ll ‘make out with Kieran Culkin’ at afterparty

Tan France has been roasted for his ‘awkward’ backstage flirting with Pedro Pascal at the 30th annual SAG Awards on Saturday.

The Last of Us actor, 48, joined France, 40, who was conducting interviews with the winners, after he picked up the Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series award, for his role in the HBO zombie show.

After the Chilean hunk complimented the Queer Eye star’s silver hair, France responded by saying, We are not here to flirt with me, Pedro Pascal.’

‘Yes we are. What else could we be here for?’ Pascal — who shortly before shared that he was drunk while onstage — replied.

France then asked, ‘How badly are you going to rag Kieran at the afterparty tonight?’ in reference to Pascal and Succession star Kieran Culkin’s ongoing rivalry at award shows, but Pascal simply replied that he would ‘make out’ with Culkin instead.

‘That’ll be my revenge,’ the Mandalorian star added.

‘It’s cause you’re drunk,’ France stated, summing up the situation. ‘I would love to see this, that would make me so happy,’ he went on.

The remark came after Culkin jokingly told Pascal to ‘suck it’ when he beat him in the same category at the Golden Globes earlier this year.

Pedro, who recently had an arm injury, also joked at the Emmy Awards in January that Kieran caused his injury after he ‘beat the s**t out of me.’

During his interview, France proceeded to ask, ‘How has the relationship with him been this whole season, did you know him before all of this?’

‘I did. I did know him. He is the greatest.’

Pedro then recalled a sweet story of when he met Kieran who congratulated him on a play he was doing at the time.

‘He is the greatest. I can remember, years ago, him taking one of my younger siblings to an FAO Schwartz in Manhattan,’ he recalled.

‘He came up to me and complimented me on the play, he was already famous, had been a lead in the movie Igby Goes Down, and he approached me in public just to tell me that — he doesn’t remember this at all, I remember this — we’ve known each other since then. It’s been amazing to see him in that show, to the point of which I feel guilty about not seeing his speech tonight, but it’ll be fine.’
