Former White House senior adviser Omarosa Manigault Newman’s memoir Unhinged could use a bit of a boost – dropping more than 40 percent in sales this week.
The tell-all memoir from the controversial reality star has hit quite the slump since it’s August 14 release.
Hardcover sales of the book – detailing her brief stint in the White House – took the dramatic dip after Manigault Newman sold 33,000 copies in her first week, according to the Washington Post.

The book may have received quite the boost, following problematic remarks using his Twitter fingers where he called his former aide a ‘lowlife.’
‘While I know it’s “not presidential” to take on a lowlife like Omarosa, and while I would rather not be doing so, this is a modern day form of communication and I know the Fake News Media will be working overtime to make even Wacky Omarosa look legitimate as possible,’ he said on August 13. ‘Sorry!’
Manigault Newman, being her infamously savvy self, managed to use Trump’s rant as as opportunity for a publicity tour.

After Trump’s tweet, Manigault Newman appeared on several networks dishing out juicy details about the administration including her own firing
She appeared on several networks dishing out little details surrounding her book and the type of unstable man she claimed President Trump to be.
Most notably, Manigault Newman released a secret tape recording of the moment White House Chief of Staff John Kelly fired her.
‘In many ways, [she] seems to have outsmarted the president, who has taken the bait and gone out and tweeted directly after her,” said Fox & Friends co-host Brian Kilmeade, according to the New York Post.

For most authors and publishers, second-week sales do frequently falter as they fail to maintain the same momentum if they aren’t in the news at the moment.
The memoir is still seated in the number 1 seat on the New York Times best seller list for hardcover nonfiction.
Unhinged is expected to drop in its ratings once Labor Day passes and new titles join onto the list.
