Salim Mehajer’s glamorous younger model sister, 21, is charged by police

Salim Mehajer’s younger sister has been charged with driving on a suspended licence for the second time.

Mary (Mariam) Mehajer, 21, was allegedly behind the wheel of a black Alfa Romeo when she was stopped by police in Berala, western Sydney, three days before Christmas.

The luxury car had her brother’s infamous name on the number plates, which are registered to a Porsche Macan station wagon, according to registration data and reported by Inner West Courier.

Mehajer appeared in Burwood Local Court on Tuesday after she was handed a court attendance notice for allegedly driving while on a suspended licence.

The former Auburn councillor’s sister first made headlines in 2016 when she was crowned Miss Lebanon Australia.

A fellow contestant alleged the pageant was ‘rigged’ and the then-18 year old’s victory was ‘bought’ by her high-profile brother. 

‘I would love for [NSW Fair Trading] to investigate and see that I won fairly,’ she said following the accusations.

‘My brother being a sponsor is such a beautiful thing. He’s supporting his community and I think that is so positive.’

The 21-year-old glamour is somewhat of an Instagram influencer, with nearly 15,000 followers. 

She regularly posts photos in elegant gowns and heavy makeup, pumping out content to her large audience of followers. 

Mehajer, who will return to court next month, is yet to enter a plea.
