Channel Seven sports presenter Sally Pearson makes a $340,000 profit on her five-bedroom Gold Coast home two days before giving birth

Channel Seven sports presenter Sally Pearson scored a $340,000 profit in August when she sold her Gold Coast home for $1.84million.

She welcomed her second child Harry James just two days later.

The former Olympian, 35, bought the five-bedroom, four-bathroom house with her husband Kieran Pearson in July last year for $1.5million, reports The Courier Mail.

Located on the canal at Runaway Bay, Sally spent $9,000 on minor renovations before the sale.

This included installing a carport and a complete repaint of the interiors.

The two-storey spread went under the hammer on August 22 without a price guide. 

Kieran and Sally announced on August 24 they had welcomed son Harry into the world. The couple are also parents to two-year-old daughter Ruby.

Featuring a spacious open-plan layout, the house combines a holiday atmosphere with tropical charm and beautiful water views.

The wide undercover verandahs provide plenty of space for entertaining outdoors, right on the canal’s edge. There is also a granny flat, perfect for a home office.

Meanwhile, the large chef’s kitchen boasts Caesarstone benchtops plus a De’Longhi oven with an induction cooktop.

Other features include a stone double-sided log fireplace, shuttered windows, and solid timber-stranded woven bamboo floors.

Three of the bedrooms are upstairs, including the master, which has its own ensuite.

Extras include air conditioning throughout, a private pontoon for easy access to the canal, and sophisticated security technology including cameras and sensor lights.

Rising to fame at the Beijing Olympics in 2008, Pearson won a silver medal in the 100m hurdles. In 2012, she won a gold in the same event at the London Olympics.

Following a stellar career, in which she also won gold medals at the Commonwealth Games, Pearson retired in August 2019.  

In February 2022, she joined the sports team at Channel Seven’s Gold Coast news.
