Last month it was reported that The Bachelor’s Sam Wood and friend Paul Lange were spotted filming an audition tape for The Block.
And on Tuesday, the 37-year-old confirmed he had tried to become a contestant on the show but had failed – and was knocked out after the first round.
Speaking exclusively to Daily Mail Australia, the reality star said he missed this season’s boat as the popular renovation show were looking for ‘more couples rather than two bozos’.

‘No, we are definitely not going to be on The Block,’ confirmed Sam.
‘My friend Paul was desperate to be on it so I said, “Mate, if you wanna have a go at it I’m happy to go along with you”.’
And it seems as though Sam’s failed application wasn’t too hard on him, with the personal trainer adding he only auditioned for his friend’s sake.

Revealing he would be keen to go on another reality show when the timing was right, the news comes after Woman’s Day reported Sam was seen filming an audition tape with Paul late last year.
‘Sam was cycling along Fitzroy Street, talking about why he and his mate should be a team on the show,’ a source allegedly told the magazine.
