‘I’m an empowered modern woman!’ Samantha Armytage reveals she gave in to flattery from shop assistants and bought ‘size zero Lycra tights’ after 10kg weight loss and rumoured $500,000 deal with Weight Watchers

She’s rumoured to have pocketed $500,000 in a deal to become Weight Watchers’ newest celebrity ambassador.

And Sunrise’s Samantha Armytage was enjoying her 10kg weight loss on a recent shopping trip.

The 42-year-old says now that she is older, she rarely gives in to flattery from shop assistants – but recently suffered a blip.

‘I’m an empowered modern woman!’ On Saturday Samantha Armytage (pictured) revealed she gave in to flattery from shop assistants and bought ‘size zero tights’ after 10kg weight loss

Writing for Stellar magazine, she said she found herself, ‘admiring my new size zero shiny lycra tights,’ after such a shopping trip.

She added that she’d told herself, ‘I’m an empowered modern woman and I’m too old and smart to fall for a few stray compliments from complete strangers who are just trying to make a sale.’

But it seems the TV star did just that, adding:  ‘while it’s good to have epiphanies in shopping centres and talk a big game, no woman is an island.’
