Australian designer Samantha Wills has announced she will be closing her multi-million dollar jewellery empire after 15 years
‘It is with a heavy but knowing heart… I have made the decision to end this chapter of the brand, and January 2019 will be the final month of trade fore Samantha Wills Jewellery,’ she told Daily Mail Australia
‘I have chosen to close a successful business because I want to begin a new chapter in my life and career.
‘In complete honesty, my heart hasn’t been in the jewellery business for the past two and a half years. Jewellery was the platform, and it has served us well for the past 15 years, but my heart had always been drawn to reaching young women with the story behind the brand. Jewellery provided the platform for me to tell that story.’
Samantha explained she has no plans to sell her successful business.
‘Selling the business was not an option to me as I couldn’t hand over my name,’ she said.
For now, Samantha said she will focus on supporting the current Samantha Wills Jewellery team in the months leading up to closure.
At the age of 22, the entrepreneur launched her humble jewellery brand.
